Tell Us About Inland Fishing in Delaware
I know about ocean-side sport fishing. But what kind of other land-based fishing is found around the state? Where should I go and what kind of fish can I expect to find?
There's a great internet version of the Delaware Pond Booklet (which is no longer in print). It has info on Delaware's 33 publicly available fishing ponds with topographic maps, species of fish, vegetation, ramps, and other information. Here is the link: http://bit.ly/d7PW8H. Hope it helps!
The state also stocks several streams with trout. I know in New Castle County they stock the Christina Creek in the city of Newark, and White Clay Creek from the Pennsylvania line through the state park at least.
