As of now, I do not know of any craft groups, but I am part of an organization that is starting up in Newark, Delaware which may meet your needs: Barrel of Makers! Right now, we are gathering a group of people who love to be creative. However, we will soon be getting a location, and Barrel of Makers will become a community center where makers of all types (artistic and techie) can share space, knowledge, and resources.
You will be able to work at community tables with other "makers" or take advantage of shared workshop space and tools. In addition, we'll be putting up a calendar of all the crafting events/classes in our area, regardless of who is offering them, on our website by the end of this month.
